Barnes Early Childhood Development
On January 20, 2012, Dr. Lezotte was invited to speak to a receptive group
of parents who had children between the ages of 20-30 months old. She
discussed ear infections, the importance of treatment, and their affects on
hearing and language development. If you have an organization that you

Detroit Federation of Teachers Retirees
On January 17, 2012, Dr. Sommerville welcomed the opportunity to speak to a
group of 90 retired school teachers in Detroit. The informative lecture
included topics such as: types and symptoms of hearing loss, causes of
hearing loss, wax removal and insurance coverage. She also discussed new
technology available today such as digital hearing aids, amplified
telephones and Blue Tooth TV devices. If you have an organization that you

Assumption Senior Expo
On October 13, 2011 Grosse Pointe Audiology was represented at the 18th annual Assumption Senior Expo located at The Assumption Cultural Center in Grosse Pointe Woods. The morning started off with over 45 exhibitors on display in the gymnasium where individuals were able to pick up informational materials, learn more about what each business had to offer and even enter raffles. We would like to thank anyone who may have stopped by to visit our table, inquired about our products and services, entered our TV Ears raffle, or spoke with Dr. Sommerville.
SOC International Taste Fest
On April 19, 2011, the Services for Older Citizens in Grosse Pointe hosted their first annual International Taste Fest! SOC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seniors of the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods maintain their lives in independence and dignity. Grosse Pointe Audiology, representing Greece, gladly took part in this fun filled afternoon which allowed local businesses to promote their business while seniors sampled various foods and beverages from over 30 different "countries." American Academy of Audiology
Dr. Sommerville just returned from the American Academy of Audiology conference in Chicago held on April 6-9, 2011. She attended 3 days of classes which provided her with expertise on all of the latest technology for hearing impairment. Dr. Sommerville brought back information from over 200 exhibitors!
The Women's Connection of Grosse Pointe
On January 27, 2011, Dr. Lezotte spoke to The Women's Connection of Grosse Pointe. The Women's Connection of Grosse Pointe is a women's networking and support organization dedicated to the enrichment and empowerment of women in their business and personal lives. Some of the topics that Dr. Lezotte hightlighted in her talk included types and causes of hearing loss as well as the different technology availabe to help with hearing loss. Chamber of Commerce Business Expo
For those of you who stopped by our table at the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo on November 30, 2010 at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, thank you! It was a well attended event which highlighted numerous businesses here in Grosse Pointe! To cap off the evening, we were fortunate enough to hear from Mary Kramer, the vice president/publisher at Crain's Detroit Business. Hope to see more of you there next year! Kids on the Go
On November 20, 2010, Dr. Lezotte co chaired a wonderful event, Field of Dreams, at the Tiger Club at Comerica Park. The energized evening included both a silent and live auction as well as enticing basket raffles all of which helped to raise over $41,000 for children with special needs in the Metro Detroit Area! The donations help to insure that children with special needs will be able to continue physical, occupational and speech therapy into the summer months at no cost to the families.
